Born in London, Skylar Sweeney trained at a dedicated music academy before building her early career as a DJ across Spain throughout the early 2000s. She returned to her home city to launch her professional singing career in 2012.
In 2018, she joined Famous Reflections Studios as a songwriter, creating original material for both real artists and the studio’s avatar projects. Her avatar identity Sky Sweeney was fully realised in 2023, making its debut on the track London Dreams – written by Skylar alongside producer Gary Neil.
Later that year, the studio’s video and graphic design team proposed forming a brand new in‑house Gothic rock band. Skylar put forward the Sky Sweeney avatar as frontwoman, and the group Dark Reflection was officially formed – releasing their debut single Girls In Black shortly after.
In 2025, Skylar’s sister Catherine Sweeney joined the band on keyboards, performing under the avatar name Cat Sweeney.
